They’re charged with killing 24-year-old Jonathan Barber, a car stereo installer who was shot to death on Kingsway in 2008 while unwittingly driving a gangster’s car to the shop. Six of the accused – including former UN gang leader Barzan Tilli-Choli – have been in prison since 2009, when they were arrested on drug, gun and conspiracy to commit murder charges. Six of the men -- with the exception of Vallee -- are among the eight who were charged in 2009 with plotting to kill Jonathan, Jamie and Jarrod Bacon, who are members of the rival Red Scorpions gang.
